Тема уроку: Food in Our Life.
Підтема уроку: Сервірування столу. У кафе.
Мета уроку:
v Практична: удосконалити навики аудіювання та читання з повним
розумінням прочитаного з метою виявлення корисної інформації;
v Розвиваюча: розвивати комунікативні здібності учнів;
v Освітня: розширювати кругозір учнів у межах теми;
v Виховна:
                      · Прищеплювати культуру поведінки за столом;
                      · Виховувати ввічливе ставлення до оточуючих.
Обладнання: підручник, роздаткові картки, столові прибори та фартух для
рольової гри “A Waiter”, тематичні картки.

Тип уроку : комбінований.
Хід уроку:
І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.
1. Привітання.
T: Good morning, pupils. I’m glad to see you. I hope you are fine. Are you ready to
start the lesson?
2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.
T: Today we are going to speak about setting the table and visiting cafes.
3. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.
T: I’ll give you the cards. Your task will be to make up a joke from the sentences.
Робота в парах.
Put the sentences in the correct order and
read the joke.
- “Would you like another cookie?” she
asked.
- “What good manners you have!” said his
Granny.
- Little Jimmy was having a snack after
school with Granny.
- “I’ll say them both if I can have a big
piece of that cake,” said Jimmy.
- “Yes, please,” replied Jimmy.
- “I do like to hear young people saying
“please” and “thank you” ”.

ІІ. Основна частина уроку.
1. Фонетичне відпрацювання тематичної лексики.
- to set the table; - a saucer;
- to have good manners; - a fork;
- a napkin; - a knife;
- a cup; - a spoon.
Робота в режимі: T →P1→P2→P3…
Вчитель називає слово, а учні складають словосполучення та речення.
2. Розвиток умінь мовлення.
- Учні самостійно розглядають малюнок і складають речення за вправою 3,

с.56.

- Робота в парах (Міні-діалог за зразком).
A: Excuse me. Where does the knife go?
B: It goes to the right of the dinner plate.
3. Рольова гра «A Waiter» як засіб формування комунікативної
компетентності.
(Один учень сервірує стіл, а інший слідкує за правильністю виконання дій і
висловлює свою згоду чи заперечує).
Бесіда з класом.
T: Well done. Do you help your mother to lay the table?
- How often do you lay the table?
- What do you usually put on the table?
- Do you like cooking?
- What do you usually cook?
4. Виконання завдання за карткою.
T: Now read the list of verbs for preparing and cooking food and match them with the  food words :

5. Фізкультхвилинка. Song “Help your mother”.

6. Аудіювання тексту .
T: You know that many people like to have their meals in the cafes. There are so
many different cafes in the towns. You task will be to listen to the text and
understand it.
“Cafes”
You can find cafes in big cities. The choice of food is very traditional. They serve
dishes that you might normally eat at home: borshch, fried fish, chops, holubtsi
( cabbage rolls), potato, buckwheat porridge, mlyntsi (pancakes), and varenyky
stuffed with cottage cheese or cabbage. As they are cheap and convenient, many
people go to these places for their lunch break. Have you ever had a meal in one of
these places?
T: Use the information from the text and answer the questions:
- What is the choice of food in the café?
- What is the price for the food?
- Do people often visit cafes?

7. Робота у групах. Рольова гра “ Our Cafe”
(Учні придумують назву та меню для своєї кав’ярні. Рекламують свій заклад з
опорою на речення, записані на дошці ).

1. Підведення підсумків уроків.
T: Today we spoke about setting the table and good manners while visiting cafes. So,
you have learned:
P1: how to set the table.
P2: have good table manners.
P3: to eat with a fork and a knife.
P4: to be polite at table.
P5: to thank my mother for meals.
